St. Albans, 11 March 2025 – Axis Spine Technologies is proud to announce that its latest research has been selected for presentation at the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery (ISASS) Annual Conference (ISASS25), April 10-12, 2025 in Miami Florida. This recognition highlights Axis Spine’s commitment to advancing innovation in achieving lasting spinal alignment through anterior lumbar interbody fusion (ALIF) procedures.

The study, titled “Comparison of Modular and One-Piece ALIF Implants: Radiographic Analysis of Subsidence and Segmental Lordosis Outcomes,” will discuss the following key findings:

  • 20 patients (24 levels) treated with a Modular ALIF implant
  • No cases of subsidence, with zero instances of >1mm or >3mm subsidence
  • 7.3° average increase in segmental lordosis from preoperative to immediate postoperative measurements
  • Correction maintained at the latest follow-up

“This research provides the first results of our data collection supporting the benefits of modular precision ALIF implants in preserving spinal alignment and reducing the risk of subsidence,” said Marc Sanders, Chief Technology Officer at Axis Spine Technologies. “Axis is committed to continue building strong clinical data that validates the role of modular technology in empowering surgeons with modular precision to achieve lasting alignment.”

Axis Spine Technologies extends its appreciation to all authors, research staff, and CRO Research Source for their invaluable contributions to this study. This presentation marks the first of many collaborative research initiatives aimed at shaping the future of ALIF technology.
